I've really been thinking about getting a Remington model 7400 Carbine 30-06. I was looking at a few of them yesterday at Gander Mountain. I gotta tell ya, the plastic dust covers.........look extremely cheesy. I had a 7600 pump that had the plastic dust cover and it was never a problem. They just don't look like they belong on the 7400's. They look like they'll come right off. Is there a aftermarket replacement for these or no? Now I'm kind of leaning towards getting another 7600 Carbine instead!
