I got one back in August and posted a field report. Of the many Sakos I've shot and owned this by far has the smoothest action and fit/finish. It comes with a #2 contour target crowned bbl, free floated, with all the trimmings, gauranteed sub MOA.

It is NOT a Syn Stock...rather a weather proof gray/black maple laminate. Mine is in .270 Win and shoots 0.188" with factory 130gr Sierras....0.160 with factory Hornady 140 SSTs. Why reload with those results?

I absolutely LOVE IT!

Big Tom, that is some great shooting there. I am sure it is 100 yards. I think Sako makes a extremely good rifle.  :D

:D  :D  :D Hey Redhawk1, whatya mean a xtreamly good rifle?

Sako makes the best production line gun available.  I was lucky being stationed in Germany while in the military.  Sako's were cheap through the Rod and Gun Clubs so I picked up a bunch of them.  I have bounced several of these guns around the world hunting.  I have never had a problem with a Sako, and don't remember talking to anyone else that has.

Whatever you buy with the Sako name on it will be an outstanding asset to your collection.

I saw Big Tom's targets.  Absolutely disgusting how those Sako rifles can shoot .  The groups were at 100 yds.  And this rifle had less than a box of shells through it when he posted these results.  It is the kind of rifle that makes  even a so - so shooter like me look good.

Tikka T3 Laminate Grey Stock, Stainless 30-06
« Reply #7 on: October 24, 2005, 04:22:33 AM »
The Tikka T3 shoots 1/2" at 100yds.  Maybe better I am not the best bench shooter.  This is the only Tikka out of the four I have that took a while to break in.  It walked around the target for a while and after about 15 shots it settled down to MOA or less.  The other Tikkas were spot on right out of the box.  I shoot and clean every shot for the first five the every other shot through fifteen.  These guns are truely awesome!!

I am aware of the sako gray wolf, I saw on another web-site that they were coming out with a new model of ss/syn. Just wondering if that is true.
