I'm of the opinion that if you want to see something different at a match, don't gripe, just write your own. I did a Clint Eastwood themed match, and shot it today. Two positive things about it:
Nobody tarred and feathered me (yet) for how I put it together.
I didn't get a P (would've been cruel irony for me to get my first P on stages that I wrote

).
I also got one compliment, from a fellow that almost shot his first clean match. A dud pistol round on the final stage was his only bobble (he took it pretty dang well, and was a good guy to posse with).
All in all, a pretty fun day. It taught me a bit about what other folks are looking for in a match, too.
