There were lots of .243s, I originally went there with possibly a .243 in mind. There were none in that particular model that I bought, but there are many bolt actions and singles. As I recall, the Savage bolts were about $365 and they have a reputation for accuracy. My Savage 11G in .223 is truly accurate.
Browning bolts were just under and just over $700, while there was a plain jane" Stevens for just under $300 with gray fiber stock...and the Styevens should shoot like a Savage.
