Action Size?

Talking about the remington 700BDL is the 30/06  actionthe same as the 338rum
I have an HS Prec.  700BDL varment stock  i pulled out the 30/06 in hopes that a 700BDL 338 will fit is the 338 also a long action or does it qualify as a long action magnum, I was told thet the size doesn't change until you reach 375. Does anyone know?

The 30-06 and 338 winchester are the same standard action length.  I'm fairly certain all of the RUM cartridge family are magnum length, including the older 8mm magnum.
