Yes indeed I sure like mine. Quality is excellent. Mine is very accurate. There is a review of it here on the site you could likely find if you search. It's probably on the CAS Forum, Lever Action Forum and perhaps the Product Discussion forum.

My wife has an EMF '92 carbine in 357.  It's a nice gun, although it feels a little rough when you work the lever.  I'll be going over the internals a bit, since the rifle is for cowboy action.

Steve Young is a very good gunsmith that can sell you a '92 that's already slicked up.  He goes by the handle Nate Kiowa Jones over on sassnet.  He's a good choice if you want to order a top notch rifle for just a little more than the usual over the counter cost (no kidding, his prices are pretty good).

Ed,
If you are thinking about a 92 definitely check out www.stevesgunz.com for a Steve Young EMF/Rossi 92.  I've ordered one from him and it was only $484 and that included the action and trigger work!  I felt it was very affordable considering what I was seeing price wise for other 45 Colt lever Actions.

Thanks, Griff.  Those were good reads.  Welcome to GBO, by the way.

Folks can also check out the latest issue of Shoot magazine, which has a section on slicking up the '92.  There's lots of pictures for semi literate guys like me. :)

I took my new 92 45 Colt from Steve Young to the range last week and I was very impressed with the slickness of the action and trigger pull.  The case coloring was very nice and the wood, thou not walnut, has a good figure to it.  I was mostly just blazing rounds over my chrono and not really shooting for groups.

I was getting about 880 from the Win 255 factory loads and over 1600fps from my 250XTPs and 265WFNGC LBT handloads.

The factory cowboy loads were like setting off a .22 rimfire, the handloads stung me a bit.

I did get it hitting the 50 yard Shoot-n-See 6" target, but then moved it out to 75 yards and never really got it zeroed at that range.  That just leaves something for me to do next time.

My final goal will be about a 75 yard zero and taking a GA deer with it this fall

leoparddog-

I also got another '92 from Steve last week, but mine is in 44 mag.  It's one of the smoothest lever actions I've handled, he did a great job.  Steve also replaced the factory plastic mag follower with a more reliable metal one.
