Savage Model 40 Varmint Hunter ?
« on: August 12, 2005, 07:43:05 AM »
Hello Members:  Has anyone seen or heard anything about the new Savage Model 40?  It was in listed in the 2004 catalog (in 22 Hornet and 223, sans Accutrigger) and is now listed in this year's catalog (in 22 Hornet with Accutrigger) but I haven't seen one nor heard of anyone who has seen or owns one.  Thanks in advance.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me into the great outdoors.

My son was going to get one in .22 Hornet but they didn't make it in a left handed version.  So he ordered a Model 12 in .204 instead.  Now I get to check out the .204 cartridge without having to buy a rifle.  Lawdog
