Adjustable Trigger on Contender
« on: December 09, 2002, 04:26:09 AM »
Can the trigger pull on the Contender beadjusted ?  Mine trigger pull is rather hard, how can this be made smoother and I have seen advertised kits that claim that it will improve the trigger pull. Has anyone used any of these kits?
Thanks

Adjustable Trigger on Contender

Contenders do have adjustable triggers.  There are two or three screws (can't remember and mine is 20 miles away) that can adjust the trigger without replacing springs.  Getting springs (Bullseye spring kit, maybe) can help, too, but I'd worry about making appropriate adjustments to the screws first and see how that goes.

While I've never installed any springs into mine, a friend of mine uses a Bullseye spring kit in his.  Admittedly, his trigger is better than mine.

Other folks here should be able to give you better advice on trigger adjustments, though.
