Not NEF related but I'm pumped...I have a neighbor that was several years behind me in HS..we actually went out on a couple of dates...Well I smoked some dead chicken today on my pit so I called her and asked her if she wanted some..."sure" was the reply. She asked me if I had a cleaning kit for 22's...( LOL!! :roll: ) She had two rifles.. one was pretty dirty(marlin auto) and a 1890 Takedown Winchester 22 pump that looked like it just came off the shelf!!! :shock: I said I would clean um up for her....she said " I also got a little pistol"....she brought it in and it was a clean lookin Beretta 950bs 25 cal...I said "this is a nice little pistol"...she said " I'm scared to shoot it...the hammer bit me in the web of my hand and I'm scared of it... I said ya just gotta be sire to get your hand below the ledge on it....she said "it was given to her dad and it really didn't mean anything to her and she is scared of it........................she said .....IT's YOURS...YOU CAN HAVE IT!! :eek: :eek: :eek: I felt bad about it ....BUT I TOOK IT!!! :-D :-D :-D A blind hog does occasionally find an accorn!!! :mrgreen: P.S. I told her if she wanted to sell the Winny I'd give her 50 bucks for the old thing :roll: :roll: I laughed of corse and told her it was worth a "Little" more than that... :wink:

Thanks guys! Lucky is right and the chicken was good...smoked for 5-1/2 hours over Pecan wood and that "deal" was a great dessert!! :wink: ya think I ought to offer her a C note for that Winny??? :-D :-D Man they just don't make um like they used to.... The craftsmanship just shines in that little rifle :eek: It's just beautiful!!

I don't know for sure Deadeye but it seems as if she could have more than chicken on her mind, the future "Mrs. Deadeye" perhaps? Be very, very careful buddy, you could be treading on thin ice if you invite her over again. Let's see, you dated her before, she lives down the street from you, she's asking you to do things for her and she's giving you presents? Nope...I'm not hearing any wedding bells..( I'm half deaf for some reason!! :blaster: :-D :-D ) After number 2 "Mrs.Deadeye"...I really don't think there will be a Number 3....besides...her boyfriend might object to me making a play...Deadeye has learned that is bad juju!! :-D :-D

I had this remington 760 game master 30-06 given to me by my uncel a few weeks ago. He can't hunt anymore, he did take a lot of deer with this rifle and took very good care of it. I was flabergasted... I said no no you keep it, but insisted I have it.
