Why buy a BFR instead of Ruger?  Isn`t it a copy of a Ruger?

You can't buy a Blackhawk in .480 RUGER/.475 Linebaugh, .454 Casual, .50 Action express, .45-70, .444 Marlin, .500 S&W, etc.

In fact, you can't buy any 5 shot version of the Blackhawk from Ruger.

If you want a Single Action with those specs, you can buy a BFR, or spend a lot more money on a Freedom Arms or spend whole lot more on a custom Ruger.

If Ruger would sell me a 5 shot Bisley hunter in .480 Ruger, I would have never bought my BFR.

That does not meant that I don't like my BFR, it just doesn't have the Bisley grip I wanted, and I'm sure that a Ruger would have cost less.
