Went to the big Wannenmacher show in Tulsa this past weekend. If you've never gone to it, its one of the largest in the country; over 11 acres of guns! Takes all day to go through it, if you don't dawdle around.
Anyway, I was 3/4s of the way through before I found any M700 SPSs. I had thought I might find a cheap ADL and I did, quite a few of them. But none in 7mm-08. But the SPS is a much better rifle to me so I spent a little extra and went for it.
Seriously, if you've never been to a Wannenmacher show, it will blow you away. Its heavy on the antique firearms but there were lots of nice bolt guns as well. In fact, almost anything you can think of was there.

I missed the show this year. I live in Joplin. If you don't mind saying, what did it run you cost wise? Also, what was the cheapest ADL you saw?

The SPS was $406, which is the best price I've encountered on the few I've seen. Others have ranged from just slightly higher (Sportsman's Warehouse in Dallas) to over $450 (Cabela's in Kansas City).

The cheapest ADL was $325 and they ranged nearly to $400. Most were in the $335-$350 range. I only looked at ADLs with synthetic stocks.

Thanks for the information. My dad went on Saturday and said it was ZOO, to many people to enjoy. I prefer to go on Sundays. I always get a kick out of the idiots that ask you a new retail price for a 50% condition gun. It just about insults a person's intelligence.

I forgot to mention, Please give us a range report after you get a chance to shoot your SPS. I am interested in one myself, great choice of caliber.
