Bigfoot in caves?

Hello,I'm a newbie here,but I've been lurking a long time. I was looking up information on Ape canyon,right next to MT. St.Helen . I was interested to note that Ape canyon has one of the longest volcanic tube formations in north america, in other words, cave. What does anyone think of the possibility of bigfoot dwelling in caves for part of the year? It might explain why infra-red scanning from the air doesn't find him. I note there is also caves in oklahoma as well.. Just thought I would toss out the idea..

It has been well documented in British Columbia and the Yukon that many Native Indian tribes believed the Sasquatch/Bushmen spent at least part of the long, cold winter living in caves or holes in the ground (dens).

According to many eye-witness reports, there has also been a good number of Bigfoot/Sasquatch sightings either directly in or around the mouths of caves. This seems to indicate at least some of these creatures may use caves for one purpose or another.

From a woodsman's perspective, I see absolutely no reason why Bigfoot/Sasquatch would not utilize remote caves or dens for shelter, warmth or hiding.

Thanks Ol' Man Mountain, it was just a thought I had. I do note that there are some sightings reported in the Nolin Lake area in Kentucky,which is right next door to the Mammoth Cave national Forest. Would you or anyone else care to state whether they believe Bigfoot is arboreal or nocturnal? Could be like the grizzlies in some areas they went from being active in the daytime to moving about at night. It would make sense for them then to be more active during the full moon. Better light to hunt by.

You're welcome.

As far as Bigfoot/Sasquatch being arboreal or living in trees, according to the reports I've read, I don't believe the larger creatures use trees as much as younger ones would for safety.
I think you'd be right in presuming that Sasquatch/Bigfoot would be like grizzlies and do their foraging at night in some areas where man frequents.
From what I can gather, a person is more likely to bump into a Sasquatch/Bigfoot either in the early morning hours or late afternoon and early evening.
If you go through some of the older posts on the board you'll find some good information on your full moon theory.

Makes you wonder about the cave tours through mammoth cave and the Ape cave (near Mount St. Helen). I mean what could be in those caves,looking you over.. :shock:

TW, hello, I have been to Mammoth Cave park many times. It is very interesting to go through the caves, even though countless thousands have taken the same tour many times before me.
 Many times I have had a feeling of being watched, kinda thought I heard something over there, away from the group, But then when they turn out the lights, it really gets interesting a few times anyways.
