Thanks for sharing that. I'm also looking for a treestand to buy online so I can have it on time for baiting season. I think I'm going to get one of those ladder-type treestands.

The Sportsmans Guide people were the fools that wouldn't ship a Leupold scope to me in AK because that item couldn't be "exported."  Now I use their catalog to feed the woodstove.

My sportsmans experience hasn't been pleasant in the past. Every time I have tried to place an order with them they double my order for shipping to alaska. Sounds like they may have gotten there act together, who knows. It's not like they have to ship to me dog sled. I really enjoy how every catalog is my last issue, I guess they mean my last catalog for that week, and there web site is a cluster to browse through.

 Mine was great i bought a Austin Halleck in line
blued  black powder rifle with synthetic stock a few years ago
and they sent a hand select grade maple stock and stainless  one at the same price of 269.00. Because they were out of the others . I was a very happy camper.

I use their catalogs for woodstove fodder since they charged an extra $10 for Alaska orders.  The last time I put a Sportsman's Guide order together the shipping was such that I could get the same things in Ketchikan cheaper.
