Gander Mountain had these on sale for $229 with an 8 3/8" barrel. I had to go see them for a chance to hold one and perhaps go home with it. Upon first inspection, the cylinder release had terrible plating and so did the trigger. The cylinder itself had several degrees of play with the hammer down or cocked and the salesman told me that the play was normal for a revolver. I was so stunned by the poor workmanship that my mind was made up on this gun right then and there. I heard horror stories and praise but this piece was definately questionable. I guess it's a Ruger Hunter now.

I really dont know how they let these get out, you could train a chimp to make the few basic inspections you would need to prevent this...
The early bird get's the worm, but the second mouse get's the cheese.....

Come on guys I've handled the RUGER single six in stainless (22lr,22mag) for $150 more that must have been built by the same monkies! :eek:

Well, the monkey that was responsible for assembling this relvolver must have been senile, had forgotten his eye glasses and was smoking dope during the process.  :)
