I would like to know also. I have also seen a 416 Remington in the cabalas for the Encore.

wow...     from $75.00 to $135.00 a box for 416 ammo(Midway)... I'll just have to keep thumping stuff with my 375H&H... love it... load from 200gr to 300 gr bullets and use it year round for everything from deer to groundhogs... even galfriend shoots it with the 200gr bullets... one of our favorites...

The 416 would be a reload cartridge for sure. But I don't know if I would need one. My 375 H&H will do the job.  :D

I have one and I really like it so far. I have not loaded any top end loads yet, just middle of the range loads but I was very surprised when I fired my first shot, I was expecting a whole lot more recoil than I got.  My turkey loads in my Mossberg kick a great deal more than this did. I do have a Limbsaver recoil pad on it and it is the best pad I have ever used.  I shot some Speer 235 gr and some 270 gr Hornady and accuracy was very good at the 50 yds I sighted it at. I will obviously move out as I get more loads developed. I shot 28 rounds total and I was wishing I had loaded more.  I bought this barrel for fun just to see what a big gun like this was like and I'm glad I did. I can already tell it is going to be a supreme elk thumper!
