Well by the way you talk about these three sounds like your not ready to part with any of them and will regret it later I once had a winchester 100 in 308 I decided it wasn't needed because my 270 would do everthing better so I got rid of it and got a rem 7 mag, guess how many times that rifle has seen the woods  That ugly win 100 was the most reliable accurate semi I have ever seen boy do I miss it. If you just need scrach an itch why not try one of those silly little NEF handi rifles I just picked up 243 superlight in 243 cheap the, darn thing has been a hoot to shoot as har as groupsize witjh some loads it has been out proforming some of my expensive bolt guns. Tough decision

I got rid of several rifles and handguns in order to get to the point financially where I could get the Sako rifles.  At this point in my life with 3 teenage kids ( with helping with their car payments, insurance, college etc...)  I can no longer even attempt to save for another rifle.

I am starting to know what you mean Longwinters.

My time of being single and buying whatever I want, whenever I want will soon be little more than a past chapter in my carefree life as I am about to embark on the thing so holy yet at the sametime so scary - marriage.  :)

I'm telling you, between the Louis Vitton purses during Christmas and the Tiffany bracelets and earrings during Valentines...... AND with her birthday coming up this March......AND saving up for an engagement ring to try and get married by sometime this summer, I too forgo even the best of new deals nowadays.

My latest delimna is a Tikka T3 Hunter in 6.5x55.  I thought when I bought the gun that it was in stock, but I later learned that it was on back order (keep in mind that my order was placed BEFORE I met my current girlfriend/pre-wife :) ).  So anyway, I got a call sometime ago and the store told me that I was on a waiting list and that it is taking a long time fore Tikkas to get in and that I should get it within about 5 months or so - right about the time that I need to get the engagement ring.  Then, my Kimber 8400 Montana finally came in after about a year and a half and I needed to pay the final $386 dollars out of the $840 or so dollar purchase price.  So I decided to buy the Kimber, but now what about the Tikka?

I must say that, on some level, it feels good putting other people before you, but, then again, being single for 34 years and buying whatever I want, it also kinda hurts too.

All I can say is...HOLD ON TO YOUR GUNS AS HARD AS YOU CAN, BECAUSE ONCE YOU LET GO, YOU WILL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN! :)

Longwinters, my man, yes, I am starting to understand you.  I just wish that you and I, and every married man and father could win the lottery at least once in our life. :)

Zach, winning the lottery would be great. Making ends meet the old fashioned way is a good example for children and expresses love in a special way.    The old saying "somethings money can't buy" is so true. Money sure does grease the bearings the world spins on though! :-D
