Dan Wesson and CZ tie the knot.

There was an announcement at the Shot show that DW and CZ were joining together.  As I understand, they will be operated separately for the time being.  I personally hope this brings stability to DW and an infusion of capital to improve their products and keep them available.

I look to DW for revolvers.  Lately they seem to have the revolver business on the back burner.  I hope they crank up the heat on that.

Meanwhile, they've taken to makng 1911 clones.  This surprised me as every body and their brother-in-law are making 1911 clones, you'd think the market would be pretty well saturated.  But they seem to be selling a few.

Guy from CZ said the reason for the buyout was to get a manufacturing facility in the US to better serve the market here. He wasn't too sure if the Dan Wesson line will be kept alive or not. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I talked to one of the gunsmiths at DW yesterday.  He said they were planning to ramp up revolver production.
