.........In some guns/barrels they allow longer time/number of shots between cleaning without accuracy loss........SOME say they extend the life of the barrel...and other similar advantages........I only shoot impact plated factory done molly bullets and have had good results in several different 22 centerfires.........cleaning is helped by Kroil....a clean oil and a regular bore cleaner....many like Kroil and Shooters Choice mixed 50/50 or 2 parts cleaner to one part oil........you HAVE to super clean the barrel before shooting molly bullets or the molly will trap and protect the copper in the barrel.......some use a bore paste such as USP, JB or similar for the throat area if the barrel builds up there.......the shell case needs to be sized a little tighter in the neck area with bushing dies or polishing the expander down to give a tighter grip on the molly bullet in the neck.......I use Hornady VMax and Berger BR bullets pre-coated by the impact method .....hth..good luck and good shooting!!
