Cabelas Kentucky Rifle?
« on: January 15, 2005, 04:04:20 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with the "Kentucky Rifle" from Cabelas?

This appears to be a decently priced "Tennessee Poor Boy" style rifle, but I'd like to hear from some others that may have already handled/ shot this rifle and could pass along some information about it.

Your opinions and experiences are appreciated.
Thank you, Bowhunter57

D.E.C.,
What's your group size at 50 and 100 yards (on a bench)?
What kind of distances have you tested it at, ie. 150 or 200 yards?
Have you ever tried the Ball-ets, in your rifle?

Good hunting, Bowhunter57

ALL I USE IS PATCHED ROUND BALL, WITH 70GRS. OF 777 2F.
AT 100YRDS. FROM A REST I GET 1" TO 11/2" GROUPS. AT 50 YRDS. I GET ABOUT 1/2" GROUPS. I ALSO USE CCI MAG PERCUSSION CAPS AND .20" PRE LUBED PATCHES
I'LL PROBABLY TRY SWISS 1.5F WHEN IT WARMS UP.
