Remington Model 141
« on: August 17, 2003, 12:10:43 PM »
Many years ago I shot a Remington Model 141 in .35 Remington. It pointed well, came to shoulder quickly, and seemed a well designed and well made firearm. Are these available on the used gun market in a condition worth owning? Are they such collector's items that hunting and shooting with one is of questionable sanity?

I,ve been playing with one this summer, it is all that you say it is. I have been shooting woodchucks with cast and jacketed bullets. I don,t know what group sizes I get because my old eyes can,t see iron sights. I will probably have a scope mounted on it. Because of the pecular tube magazine it will shoot pointed bullets.

Thank you all for the information. I am surprised and now on the hunt for a Remington Model 141 in excellent condition. I prefer the .35 Remington, but the .30 and .32 can be options if neccessary. I'll try pawn shops and gun shops in northern MN for starters, unless someone knows a WI or MN used gun dealer worth the visit.
