I plan on purchasing a nagant revolver or two. What case do you recommend shooting in it?  32, 32long, 32mag, 32-20? I don't have dies or cases for any of these. Also I will be casting the bullets what diameter and weight would be good to try first?

I suggest shooting the original ammo in it...SOG has it pretty cheap now for $14.95 for 50 I believe...I don't like firing ammo out of a gun that its not supposed to be in....thats up to you.

jgalar - NRAJOE is right, ammo is available now at reasonable prices.

Years ago we used to make our own brass for that cartridge, or rather we would just use 32-20 brass, as I recall, but seat the bullet flush or slightly below the case mouth to allow for a proper seal when the cylinder on those nagants moved forward into firing position.  But, with new brass and ammo available, it's much easier and safer to shoot the correct ammo from that old revolver.  HTH.  Mikey.
