CZ 527 .223 Carbine
« on: November 05, 2004, 01:47:30 PM »
I recently purchased a CZ 527 Carbine in .223 Rem and have a couple of questions about it:

1.) The grooved scope mounts on the receiver seem kind of narrow - what type of scope rings will fit them?

2.) What is the rate of twist of the barrel?

TIA

BKL rings/mounts will work nicely. I have several rifles outfitted with them.
You can measure the twist of your barrel with a cleaning rod and a yard stick.

The last two 527's I bought came with rings. I have an extra set if you need them. Send me a P.M.

I posted this same question in the Optics forum, but I'll ask here too. What scopes are you guys using? The rings are pretty close together, it looks like a tight fit for a variable scope.

I'm using a Swift variable on mine.

I use CZ rings for the 527, I have only seen them in one size (medium). I believe the mounting rail is 16mm. I have a Bushnell Legend 5-15X40AO scope on it and using these rings that is about as big as I can put on it but that's okay it works great.
