The Parrotized barrel looks great in the carriage. I should have saved at a higher resolution but the quoin is not in front of the barrel. Strange digital artifacts.

For scale, the little cannon in front is a Traditions Yorktown .50 caliber.

I have some PVC filled with cement and some undersize lead balls. If weather permits, I'll be shooting this Saturday.  I post pictures.

Steve, you indicated that you'll be shooting your new cannon this weekend, weather permitting.  Looks like the weather out here will be just about perfect for firing that very good looking cannon.  I sure hope you are then able to make the show on Sunday and perhaps bring your digital cameral along with some pictures on it.  Does the quoin fit into a little shelf like deal with sides on it and do pegs on the carriage fit into the botton of that quoin. Just where will you be at the gun show? Any name I should look for.

I am ready for shooting. I even have a few attempts at cansister rounds ready.

The quoin has a dovetail cut on the bottom. It slides into the table that way which has a matching dovetail. There are two brass rods with bolts going through the carriage. The rear one goes though the quoin table. The table is also held in place by being screwed to the rear wood that rides on top of the axle. The quoin is already being banged up by the rear of the cannon. I might get around to insetting some 1/8" thick steel into the top of the quoin.
