weaver bases for a T3
« on: September 29, 2004, 02:33:02 PM »
Hello

I am sure this has been covered already but I am considering buying a Tikka T3 in 300 WSM and was hoping somebody could tell me what weaver bases to use?  I could only find info for the Whitetail Hunter.  I happen to have two #61 weaver bases and was hoping they would work for the T3.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there

For some reason they don't come with the rings in Canada?  I am limited to Leupold or weaver mounting systems locally unless I mail order and I would prefer Weaver anyway.  I don't really like the price involved with the Opti-lock system.

Thanks

Get the Talley lightweight ringmounts----$35(US)---my buddy has these on his .300 T3----they hold tight with no issues so far.

Sir I have a T-3 in a 6.5-55 and used the rings that came with it for a 3-9.  The gun smith told me the rings work well up to 300 Mag. and then they might be a little light.  If that is true I don't know just passing it along.  By the way I think the Tikka's are awesome!!!!!!!!!  Buckfever
