With the 270 you'ld be about a 1/2 inch high at 100 yards and about 6 inches low at 250 yards.

With the 7mm Mag you'ld be about a 1/2 inch high at 100 yards and a little more than 5 inches low at 250 yards.
You learn something new everyday whether you want to or not.

Any comment on where you are at 250 is pure speculation and could be off by several inches. You just really cannot shoot at 25 or 50 yards and have a remote clue what's happening out that far. The tiny errors at those closer ranges can turn to several inches on out there. I would agree that you're likely within an inch or so at 100 but if you're even 1/4" off dead zero at 50 yards it can become 2" at 100 in a heartbeat.

If you can't or won't take the time to shoot at 100 yards you shouldn't shoot beyond that distance. Your work at 50 is certainly adequate for shooting to 100 yards but beyond that it's just speculation and longer shots to 200 and beyond shouldn't be taken on game until you get properly sighted in.

I give; where does it put you?    :?

What are your scope heights?      What are your velocities?    What kind of bullets?   ( round nose, jhp, etc?)    What are their ballistic co-efficients in other words?     Even then, it's all just theory until you shoot the rifles at 100 yds' and beyond.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist.

Good luck.
