Is 400.00 a good price for a new .270 rem. 7600?

I just picked mine up from my dealer ,bought it from Grices, paid 15.00 transfer fee and paid Grices 379.00. This was for a special run in 35 Rem. Mine was a syn. stocked rifle, the wood stocked carbines were 499.00. I would check out Gunbroker.com, Gunsamerica.com or Auctionarms.com and get an idea of prices. This is my fist 7600 and i love it ,Shoots great. Good luck finding what you want Wildbill .

If it is for a synthetic model, 375-400 also seems to be the going rate around here for a NIB 7600. 400 is not too bad but shop around, you may be lucky and able to find a local dealer offering it for 375.

Doetag has a good point and is right on. I would do the figuring though on the S&H and figure out if you'd come on top or not. You can find a good number of used M7600s and even its predacessor the M760 in great shape for alot less with some looking around. I have my Dad's M760 and its a mid-70s vintage one that's in excellent condition. Shoots like a house afire!

I would have to say for the most part you are getting a good deal. I own a couple, love em & very accurate.
