I have just about all of the calibres mentioned and I really like to shoot a Savage .17 rimfire. This gun is very accurate at 50 to 100 yds. and a load of fun too shoot.

for fun and cost you cant beat the .223 as far as the rifle i would go with the savage for a bolt or olympic arms for a AR15 style semi auto. savage for the quality, great trigger, and olympic for the american made quality.
