1998 Ruger Super Redhawk

I am looking at what I think to be a 1998 Ruger Super Redhawk in SS with a 9.5 inch barrel and 2X Leupold Scope (SN# 550 - 21274). does anybody have a good idea of what this might be worth?

bmeier: Alot depends on the condition of the gun and scope. Back in 1995 I purchased a Super Redhawk SS with the 9 1/2" barrel and I paid just a little over $400.00 for it at that time. I had a 2x scope on it at one time but now I have a red-dot scope on it. It has been a very dependable gun to hunt with and I take good care of it. In your case I would guess the value of the gun and scope to be around 6 to 7 hundred dollars, mind you just a guess

I think Elmo is about on the money, I'm assuming its a used gun and if it is that is about what i think it would bring. I would check the rig out before i bought it, Make sure it hasn't been over used if you know what i mean.

Thanks for your replies. The gun is in great shape and has only had a couple of hundred rounds threw it if that. I am buying from a reliable source and wanted to see if the price was right. Considering new I could get it for $550 and the scope would run about $200 I think it may be an alright deal. Has there been any major changes to the Super redhawk since 1998?
