that @#$%^&* customer service @ Taurus
« on: April 03, 2004, 02:33:49 AM »
Allow me first to say I enjoy my Taurus Tracker revolers. They are sturdy and good looking.
Secondly allow me to vent this! Their GD customer service dept. is worthless!!!! For the past several weeks they have been jerking me around over a 10-032 scope mount. I called to order one (and to begin with why do they not have a 1-800 # for customer service?) had my Visa card charged and was told it would be sent in 3-5 working days. Well each week For the last 4 I have called their CS dept. asking where it was. Only to be told it was on back order. Today I got my Visa statement and found that the $62.00 for the mount was on the statement and still no dam mount!
Once again another long distance call and the same Spanish speaking wench says" Oh, I see the order was never processed from back order to in stock sales. It will be shipped NEXT WEEK."
If Taurus really is interested in cleaning up their reputation you would think it should start with the CS Dept. 140ob

Don't know if it would help, but it sure wouldn't hurt to write them a letter or an e-mail.

As I've said here on more than one occasion something is VERY WRONG with Taurus both in their quality and customer service.

Toll free number is: 1-800-327-3776. They really don't like folks to know it tho so pass it on.  :-D

GB,
Thanks for the number. I have a Rageing Bull and have had no problems with it, but from what I read here and on other boards it might be a number worth knowing.

I haven't even dared call them yet. My 450 misfires in double action and I'm thinking it just might be easier and quicker to take to a smith. Maybe it will help if I have my son translate my message.
Just another worthless opinion!!

From what I know now, I would have a gunsmith fix it.

I'm going on week 11 waiting for my 454 Bull.  It was put on what they called a "Rush", and was supposed to be back in 6 weeks.

They are full of crap.

My attitude now is Pi$$ on TaurusUSA.  I should have never bought from them.

Back order means there is no more in stock. That means you have to wait until they get more.

That was a pretty old post...

I can say this that it did take them along time, but they did a good job, and didn't charge me a dime.

The timing is now correct, they didn't mess with the trigger as I had asked, but I haven't shot it to check for acuracy as yet.
