i won a ruger k77RBBZ in 7mm mag this weekend.since me and ruger parted company when they moved the safety to the bolt,i'm looking at a savage weather warrior in 7mm mag or a browning a bolt in .280 or 7mm mag.
i hear nothing bad about the savage,praise on the trigger and group sizes,but on the browning? like the idea of a removable magazine and there triggers are not bad.
i like the tang safety on these rifles,too bad ruger didn't leave well enough alone!!!

What is it you don't like bout the new safeties? I have two M77's and one MKII, makes no difference to me about the safety - I just leave the MKII's safety in the middle position as it is easier to flick off from there.

if you dont like it ill trade you my savage 114u in 7mag its had about 3 shots in it internal box mag nothen fance it was about 330 when i got it 3 years ago its blue though with iron sights

went and picked up the rifle,dealer would only give me 400.00 in trade-in! will trade it or sell it outright,dealers only!
this rifle has to have the loudest safety i have ever heard!! plus it is hard to reach from a shouldered position.why did they change it from a tang safety? guess i'll stick with a browning or savage!!

I know what you mean about the safety. Would like to own a Ruger bolt gun just to have it, but refuse to own one since the safety change. I despise the 3 stage safety.
