My buddy and I were just at a Gander Mountain Store (like a small Cabelas) and he was looking to make a rifle purchase. He finally decided to buy a Sauer in .270. What a sweet rifle. Beautiful stock, fantastic trigger, supposedly a very accurate brand and the quietest safety I have ever ,not, heard. Absolutely quiet. This was a $1,200.00 dollar rifle. They were on sale for $100.00 less cuz according to the Sales Manager the Gander Mountain stores were no longer going to sell them. Of course we asked why and he said the Euro dollar was going so high in comparison to the US dollar that next year the same rifle will be around $2000.00 dollars. I know I have heard that the Euro is higher than the dollar but this is bad news. Now I am wondering, and I should have asked him, if the other European rifles were going to do the same. Sako and Tikka come to mind.
