Savage Barrel Change
« on: June 02, 2004, 07:30:12 AM »
Hi Guys,

I have a model 12 in 308, would like to put on 223 barrel from
model 10fp.Is there some reason a pipe wrench with coated jaws
can't be used on the barrel nut?
This is a one time deal and don't want to buy the special tool.
I will get bolt pieces from sss and a choate stock when I can
find a place that has them.
Anyone know who has the choate stock for a Savage?

Thanks and Take Care
give me calm,hot days

I think Boyds makes stocks for Savage, but I'm not sure if they make that particular one.

Try Brownells for the stock.  KN
