I like hollow point bullets but should i use them on bear?

HiFred, I think the guys are wondering what cartridge, and what bear you are talking about.
Blackie is a bunch easier to kill than Grizz.

I should have put it in the bear hunting section. But it's black bear and the gun will be a 41 or 44.

I know a lad that has taken several with the Hornady XTP in his 44-40 Winchester '73. I wouldn't be afraid to use that bullet in a 44 mag. He's also taken them with 44-40 factory loads. Close up bait shots of course.
