Well
I have been told many times when a gun will not shoot groups go over it and check for something loose . Be it loose scope mounts or sites.
Is the bore clean of fouling .
I tried different loads , jacketed to lead sized to bore.

Well today the scope was off to were it was shooting last year and I tried to adjust it back but to no avail.
I thought then something must be going on in the scope , since the 400 gr.. loads do thump!
Well as I picked the gun up by\by the rear stock I thought I felt something move .
a turn or so on the rear screw tighted up the rear stock , and I was able to adjust the scope to were it was .

After a year , that I owned this rifle as new have I been plagued with 2-5 inch groups @ 100 yards.

Well tighting that rear stock was all that was required.

 :-D

I have had that happen to my Encore twice.  It does make an incredible difference to the shootability doesn't it.  You sound like me, could not figure the problem out till the stock got loose enough to notice it.

:cb2: Different type of gun, but the same basic problem. I couldn't get my red dot scope zeroed in on my .44 mag Bisley. Checked my mount, it was tight, as were the rings. Got home and noticed my grip frame was coming loose. Never had that happen. Got some LocTite and applied it to ALL my .44s, just in case.
