I just got back from an eland hunt at Camp Cooley Ranch. I took a cow at 715 this morning. She looks bigger at the processors than the 3 1/2 y old buffalo bull I took last year. They're trying to cull 30 more. It's a very efficient operation, they just need more hunters. The elk were bugling, which made it even more interesting. Use enough gun.

$1000. + $150. daily fee + $50. to skin and quarter (hanging and field dressing included in the daily fee). I had mine on the ground by 715, but it took 3 hours to get her in my ice boxes. I'll hang it for 2 weeks, do a horn mount and have the hide tanned. Horns were 35 3/4". I left the ribs, but not much else. Looking forward to perhaps 300# of meat.

They have a web site, try Camp Cooley Ranch on your browser. I got a clearance price, they had too many animals, I don't know what they're up to now. We are less than half way  thru the meat. Good luck.
