I have some of that stuff and it seems to be pretty accurate. I think you would make a coon or opossum mad if you shoot it with that stuff. I doubt it would kill much more than an average rat.   KN

i have read that at close range (35-40yds max) they will cleanly kill an animal of that size.  they do need a faster rate of twist to stabilize them.  but some have said they are plenty accurate out of the standard rate of twist for a 22.

Shouldn't be any problem shooting anything up to racoon size animals within the proper range and making one shot kills.  There are literly thousands of racoons shot with 22rfs in Wi. by hunters every year with excellent racoons.  And we have some pretty good sized ones.  The 60 gr. are very accurate out of my Ruger Bearcat at 15 yds, and an old 10-22 at 25 yds.  Each firearm is a different enity on to itself wether or not it will shoot them.  Varies even with two of the same make and model.

AGULIA SUPER SUB SONIC

I've personally tested this ammo on a lot of critters  and am very satisfied with it's preformance. It's pretty accurate out to 50 yards out of my bolt actions. After 50 yards why use a subsonic ?I have shot woodchucks and this round almost ripped it in half.Feral cats arn't too fond of this round either.Coons 'possum's,fox are not a match for the SSS.They make a barrel for the 10/22 to shoot these more accuratly past 50 yards with -I think- a 1-9 twist to stabalize the bullet

I tried some a few weeks back an at 50m half of them hit sideways.
I think a regular rimfire twist is a bit slow for such a big bullet.
Cheers

I have used the Aguila SSS to shoot NRA Hunter pistol with.  I get about a 3 inch group at 100 meters with them.  My 10" Contender match barrel stabilizes them okay.  They do have enough power to knock down the 100 meter rams.  The first year we tried them, there were 3 of us using them.  One of us 3 won each match that summer.

I haven't used them for hunting but have considered using them in a North American Arms Mini 22 revolver.  They could just possibly be the best choice for use as a defence round in that little shot barrel.

You can only hit the target if the barrel is pointed in the right direction when the bullet leaves the barrel.

They work Great on Opossum and wild dogs with proper shot placement.
The will completely pass through Coyote inside of about 75 yards.
(Broadside shots)
Some guns just will not stabilize them though.
I use an old Winchester model 67 ant they work great in it.
