Encore Katahdin Carbine - many more forend styles available
« on: April 05, 2004, 03:27:03 AM »
In the past I had considered getting an Katahdin barrel for my Encore.  Since I have the gray laminated wood on my muzzle loader and rifle barrels I searched all over for the same for the Katahdin.  Even called Boyd Bros. directly and they said that they only made the rifle and ML forends.  Just the other day I got a copy of the Fox Ridge catalog.  On the next to last page there were forends I had never seen before.  They are now making forends for the Katahdin in every camo style, walnut, synthetic, and even brown and gray laminate.  Just thought I'd pass this along . . .

And the funny thing is..... Boyds is probably making them for T/C.  The last Heavy Varmint T/C Walnut forend I bought had Boyds stamped on the inside of the forearm.  I have never seen them listed for sale at Boyds though, probably and agreement with T/C.

I say AGAIN and hope someone at Boyd's or TC is listening:

PLEASE make a series of matching pistol grips in all the available stock choices.  Start with the Realtree.

Believe me, they will sell!!!!!
