Hey guys-

I was looking into buying a LimbSaver Slip On Recoil Pad for my Browning A-Bolt 30-06..

Have any of you tried these?  How well do these work?  My shoulder is still recovering from sighting that in the other day..  :-D

Thanks, HuntingGuy

I have not tried the slip on version, but did put one on my Encore last year.  It made a big difference in felt recoil.  I can not recommend them enough.

I just bought one for my .35 Whelen 7600. It fits very well but I had to cut a hole for the swivel stud. It does increase the length of pull.  Haven't shot it yet.  I am waiting for 4 feet of snow to melt.

It is certainly going to be better than the hard plastic butt plate shooting those 250 grain spitzers.

HuntingGuy:

Simply use the SEARCH feature and enter LIMBSAVER to find all the posts that refer to it.... there are about 36 threads on it. I can refer you to more on other web sites too. Most of the people who have used it on the "heavy recoilers" say it gives a MARKED IMPROVEMENT over most others available.
