Trumps Nation Building Plan for Venezuela

He has authorized the military to blow boats out of the water almost 3,000 miles away from the Un-United States, saying that they're loaded with drugs heading for the Un-United States, more recently sinking a submarine, and has also authorized the much trusted CIA to go into Venezuela and destabilize the existing government, while supporting their opposition.
How is this not yet another "nation building scheme" with a different spin?

Well, Trump has declared war on drug smugglers and the gangs that do it.  They found out or they say that Maduro is the head of a Venezuelan gang but also the leader of the country, thus by attacking the drug dealers/runners and gangs, he is attacking the current leader of the country.  Maduro didn't really win the last election, someone else did, so Maduro said he won and confiscated all the ballots and destroyed them.

I'm against drugs entering the US but IMO i believe the coast guard should be the ones handling the drug boat problem.

Trump wants to get to the root of the problem, Venezuela.  With a bounty on Maduro's head, eventually someone will claim it.  The the rightful government will come back.  When Venezuela elected a socialist government, it ran out the private companies like AT&T, Citgo who was drilling their oil, as well as other big companies.  Then Venezuela went from the 3rd richest country in the Western Hemisphere to a poverty striken hell.  If a truely elected American leaning person takes over and allows private companies to operate, they would become rich again and have a good middle class.  Also Venezuela is buddy buddy with the Chinese who has sent ships to the area.  Trump is trying to enforce the Monroe doctrine to keep China out of Latin America and get rid of the drug trade at it's source.

So for some "nation building" is acceptable under certain circumstances? If there weren't any customers in the Un-United States the drug smuggling would stop.

My concern is accidental ingestion or mistaken for something else as it appears to only take a minute amount to kill. Venezuela and Europe have made their own bed and ours is under intensive housekeeping that will resume whenever the opportunity arises.

I see this as selective enforcement, i.e. enforce it on the little guy, and bluster, and bluff, on the big guy. Fentanyl is killing far more folks than the cocaine coming out of Venezuela. Why aren't they blowing Chinese boats, ships, and planes out of the air, and water. That is where the fentanyl is coming from.
I find it amazing that folks are willing to accept this nation building AGAIN in the  name of stopping the drugs.
Why aren't they killing Mexican smugglers crossing the river with loads of drugs?

They can call this "drug interdiction" or anything else they want to call it, but the Trump Administration is now doing the same thing he criticized the Bushes for doing, and everybody before them. He is meddling in other countries affairs, and trying to overthrow a government,  and replace it with one Trump thinks will be more to his liking. i.e. NATION BUILDING

I agree stay out of Venezuela. Let them do what they do.  Want to stop drugs from entering. Stop them at our borders and shorelines. Maybe Trump is after the oil in Venezuela?

Trump has continuously harped about the Bushes, and other past presidents interfering in other governments, and now he's doing the same damn thing under guise of drug trafficking.
The whole country of Mexico is ran by narco Cartels, but he isn't blowing anybody up in Mexico.

This is the same arrogant Pres. Trump that was elected last time.
Last time he was new to the system and made big mistakes by not being him self, now he is him self and is going to do what he want , when he wants just to see if it flies.
