I don't know how many keep any kind of journal on their electronic devices, but if you're not already aware of whqt might be happening--depending on the device and what kind of program is involved.
I recently bought a new laptop and in the process of setting it up, I downloaded a writing program that was the same as the one that I have been using on the older laptop. I was still using the older laptop for writing my daily activities. Just to try to get used to the new one, I thought I would start keeping the same notes on the new laptop. I was shocked to find out that my notes were already on the new computer--though it had not even been turned on while I was using the older computer. This means that my notes which I thought were private, were in some way available by a third, or in this case actually a second party. I suspect that the writing program I use is recording everything I'm writing and when I turn on the new computer, it uploads from the internet from wherever my writing app. is kept. Note to self--never write down anything on the computer that you wouldn't want just anyone to know.
