Income Tax, Sales Tax, Property Tax!
« on: July 02, 2025, 01:22:52 AM »
And the list goes on. Drivers licenses, car registration, taxes on fuel, and a myriad of other taxes on products that we pay and don't even realize.
Elon Musk has aspergers and may not understand how Congress works throwing billions of dollars of pork into a bill to get lawyers/politicians/Congressman to vote for it, but Elon Musk understands dollars and cents.
He and DOGE were making headway and Congressional democrats, judges, and deep state employees fought him every step of the way, while insurrectionists burned his cars and dealerships.

I don't blame him for stepping out,  and while I support Trump, I agree with Musk. This BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL, is like every other bill. Its chocked full of pork to get all of those "patriotic republicans" to vote for it. AND IT WILL  RAISE THE  NATIONAL DEBT!

Donald Trump is one man, and he will accomplish just so much before his time is up, and then it will go back to business as usual.
Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times.

And we will be a bit older, wonder how many more generations until un Americans roll over for the government? I saw at least in my area a display of submission during recent lockdowns and forced vax, mask enforcement etc that made me Ill.

Agree 100% on this. While Trump has done many things right, this one is wrong. Their still ''amending'' this, and it could raise the debt limit even higher. They had thought 2 trillion at first, now their saying 1 or 2 more than that. The 3 main Republicans against this, Paul, Massie and Roy are really catching he** over this. Trump with the help of AIPAC are really going after Massie because he wants NO foreign aid, cut defense spending, many of the social programs. Wish them luck!!

I suggest it's BEEN business as usual, and will continue being business as usual.  Behind the public eye maybe, but still with the taxpayer and voter on the losing end.

Of course, some of our fellow conservatives have let us down.. namely, some such as Thom Tillis, Rand Paul, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, 4 "republican" senators who  I understand, prevented the original bill out of the house from being passed as is, through the senate.

the increase in debt doesnt factor in the tariff savings that could actually pay down the debt. its mostly just the left raising hell. no do i think some of this bill is wrong? yup. but there is a lot more right than wrong. musk is joining the smoke and mirrors crowd because its costing him big bucks personally. if you EVER thought he really cared about YOU put down the crack pipe. now will the tariff savings be spent wisely? You and i can ONLY GUESS! unless someone here understands government more than me or has an inside track. this bill my not be perfect but its the best thing that was (if it is) passed it the best piece of legislation out of DC in our lifetimes. it funds more border security, police, cuts alot of the insane green agenda and subsudies for ev;s, allows regulations hamstringing energy production and even puts a few more bucks in my wallet. cant see alot to complain about. fact is nothings perfect. but just think of the alternative. what would we be discussing if harris would have won!!! with energy and the border being top priorities id think texas has more to gain than about any state

There are 100 senators, and we can count on all the Dems sticking like glue, to whatever their "boss politician" orders them to do.  So anything that can be passed through in a conservative vein, must be done at the rare times when conservatives hold both chambers.

I understand that Murkowski held out to keep Medicaid going for the lazy and the illegals...but don't know who wanted to continue the big, green scam going..

Evidently, Tillis wasn't going to agree with the president for any reason.

What really chaps me is the ones saying "well this will raise the national debt by 3.4 trillion over the next ten years".  Well, hell it increased more than that over the last 4 years.

Why even call it a ''debt limit'' if they just raising it? I wonder if things could get to the point this country goes thru what Wiemar Germany did in the early 30's. The old acronym SHTF will be an understatement if that happens.

weve had national debt all our lives and have managed to eat and live normal lives. same people in dc bitching about it right now were responsible for the largest increases in history. same people crying about what im going to leave the great great grandkid ill never even know are the same ones pushing the green agenda saying theyre protecting those same kids. if this country and world survive technology and evolving people will overcome any problems. if not their wont be any great great grandkids to worry about. same with bs like welfare and medicaid. when your father was raising his family they didnt exist yet here you are. only ones who starved were the lazy. take them away totaly today and people will still be here tomorrow. even the laziest are going to get hungry enough to work. dont know where you live but around here there are help wanted signs everywhere. heck fast food places will pay 20 bucks an hour with medical and even pay for college. makes me laugh when some lib says black kids cant afford college. maybe lazy black kids!! taxes and national debt are just a part of life. if they really bother you good luck finding a country that does it better!! if income, property and sales tax are the price of living here with the lifestyle i have than im not going to piss and moan. sure id like to pay less but i could live in a country that at 70 i still have to work 80 hours a week to buy some rice and live in a shack!
