About six years ago I was diagnosed with COPD. The flare-ups were bad, and I lived on the nebulizer when they occurred.
I lost my wife two years ago this September. She was a heavy vape user. Since her passing, I have not had one flare-up. I am only around non smokers, or vapers now. I believe anything going into the lungs other than good, clean air has a negative effect on our health. I think the jury is still out on vapes being a better solution for the smoker. It could even be worse!

Vapes? Popcorn lung comes to mind.

Linda has COPD. She never smoked but, her parents and ex husband did. COPD is hard on the victims of it and when there's a lot of dust in the air, Linda suffers. She describes it as trying to breathe through a straw.

My neighbor tried vaping to quit smoking and almost died from double pneumonia due to the vaping.

That's a good description. I know the feeling, and it's not a good one. I can't stand the strong smell of Lysol or other harsh cleaning liquids either.
