more wasted shooting.
« on: May 29, 2025, 08:44:21 AM »
took the 4.5 in ar15 45acp out today to see which mags ran good. first 3 were sti mags and they ran great even on binary. then one kci mag ran and the trouble started. 3 other kcis wouldnt run for crap. the ets were even worse. struggled through about 300 rounds with them and finally was smart enough to pull it apart. the blade ejector was flopping loose. tightened it up and reshot the first 2 kci's with no problem then the third started stove piping. pulled it apart and the ejector was loose again. gave up at that point not learning much. at least nothing id trust my life to. all my other pistol caliber ats have 2 screws in it but this 45 only has one, put some red loch tite on it but it will have to wait till next week now. bike ride tomorrow and a car show on Saturday, but i basically have to start all over,
did find out one thing. with a good grip it will hammer a notebook size paper at 20 yards in binary mode. i wouldnt want to be on the other end of that thing!

Good luck with the Locktite. I've had to use it several times on firearms and it's held up well. Wonder why they only used 1 screw on the ejector?
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman
