Model 850 CIA
« on: August 09, 2004, 06:01:33 AM »
Hopeful to god someone on this forum can help me out.  I have a model 850 CIA and love it to death.  Only one problem.  After 2 or 3 shots it more or less stops working.  Cylinder stops completely until i unlatch it, close it again, and pull the trigger.
Spoke with one gentleman at the range about a month ago who said that Taurus knows about the problem and that it had something to do with the spacing between the actual barrel, and the frame, and/or cylinder of the pistol.
have shot Autos and Rifles all my life but honestly have NO experience with revolvers at all so any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks Again.

Nick, hello and Welcome to Graybeard Outdoors!!!
I have heard about and seen the cylinder lockup problems with the entire model 85 line. I would suggest you either return the gun to taurus for repairs or find a competent smith to do the repairs...
