243 Encore Load

I just wanted to share a load that I have just tried in my new 24" encore. I wanted to use some of the new light bullets but have not been hearing many good reports so I picked up a box of Hornady 58gr Vmax and loaded them up with H380. With 48.5grs I shot some impressive groups. The best being a 3 shot group at 200 yards that came in at .950.. All groups at 100 were under an inch. I can't wait to try this on some critters. Well just wanted to pass this along incase someone is wondering what the light bullets will do in the Encore.....

No I don't have a load for the 100gr bullet. I do use 37.5 grs of IMR 4895 behind a 90gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. It will shoot under moa at 100 yards. I am going to try some of the Hornady 95 gr SST's in my gun for deer. I think they will work real well.
