Does anyone have experience using one of these for deer hunting.  What were your results.  What bullet did you use.

Thanks

I have shot 3 with a 6mm TCU useing an 80 grain sierra ssp. The two broad side shots were clean kills with pass thru. The third one was angled away and the bullet stoped at the far shoulder, the deer ran about 500 yards and left almost no blood trail. If it weren't for my dog I probably would have never found it. I think the 7 TCU would work much better but would opt and have for the 7/30 waters. If you limit your shots to less than 100 yards the 7 TCU should work.

Do you reload?  If you do, then get the 7mm single-shot pistol bullets.  They come in 120 grain and maybe 140 too.  These bullets produce good results in both 7mm TCU and 7x30 Waters.
