Since 1945 the United States military under the direction of our government,
 has not won a war.

Our elected leaders decide a 3rd world country somewhere needs straightened out, so in go the troops for a nice little "police action".
Take over the government. Destroy their economy. Police their daily activities. Alter their culture to be what the United States government  "THINKS" it should be. And punish non compliance, while "rewarding" certain rebel groups that undermine local culture.

No, he should not have.  We should break it and leave, let them fix it.  While they are fixing it, they aren't messing with us.

    Forget "nation building", no way a nation can be "rebuilt' except the people want it that way...

  Curiously, the US has not lost a war either...not the troops on the battlefield., anyway! Sadly the various conflicts were not lost by the troops, but by either a cowardly congress or a cowardly C-in-C..

  One nortable exception   Desert Storm..and that was likely because George H. somehow left it to competent generals to run operationsOf course, such competent generals maybe harder to find these days.

  Desert storm was perfectly executed and carried out, and I was proud of my fellow tankers..especially their cool, brave actions inthe fight at "73 Easting".

  In 100 hours, the 4th largest army in the world was obliterated. no small feat !
