Our Friend Charlie has passed
« on: October 15, 2021, 05:28:27 AM »
I just got off the phone with Charlie's wife Patty. She told me Charlie passed yesterday morning.

I asked her if there was anything GBO members could do for her. She asked that members send cards to her and mention on it that you are a GBO member.

I'm sad to say I really don't know what Charlie's last name was, do any of you know?

The address is:

Patty  Nelson
700 Morgan Road
Payneville, KY, 40157

Patty's phone number is 270 980 2911. I believe she gave it to me to pass on you you guys once before so hopefully she won't mind me giving it here.

I posted on the other thread, so I'll just say prayers for his family, and I'm gonna miss him.

Thanks Ron, I knew someone would know. I've heard it before but just flat forgot. Kinda embarrassing really.

I quoted this because it's a good prayer for Powderman.

Sure ill miss Charlie, a consistant and faithful Christian.. Prayers for the family.

No more pain for Charlie, now..only joy!  I expect he has met our Savior...and is now being greeted by passed family mmbers and old friends.

We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. (2Cor 5;8)

Perhaps we can each of us who can, will fold a little something in with the card. to help Patty through the coming costs..

I'm happy for him, to be in the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ, free from pain, sickness, and care. I'm sad for his wife Patty, and his very large family, and for us his friends. We should all hope to be remembered as he was remembered, a family man, a man of God, a good man. We'll miss you Charlie, and we look forward to meeting you one day!

While I'll miss his posts I know that he is in heaven and free of his worldly pain.

Charlie has had lots of medical problems for several years. I think it just finally caught up with him.

Charlie had COPD as I do but his was MUCH worse than mine. He had many other ailments and was in very poor health. I don't think Covid had anything to do with it but then I don't believe Covid19 is even a real thing.

He had heart issues as well. I believe I recall multiple heart attacks.

Charlie died from a tired old body that just couldn't keep going any longer I'm sure.

I suspect Dee and Bill are both correct in this, likely no need to look further.
