Perhaps the chickens will "come home to roost"..

.
  Come home to roost for the far lefty governor of New Mexico, that is!  Albuquerque police are resigning , .. because  they are being treated like  &^#%  !

  https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/albuquerque-police-resign-after-protest

    Those resigning are chiefly a crowd control squad.  Perhaps when the police in Santa Fe start resigning, then she can gather up her skirt and run..

They're resigning from the Emergency Response Team, but are staying in the department.
Apparently they haven't had enough yet. Mortgages, and family needs will cause them to stay, to a point, but legal, and civil consequences for doing their job, will eventually overtake the need to continue in their chosen profession.

" Perhaps when the police in Santa Fe start resigning, then she can gather up her skirt and run."

Never happen. We are stuck with this disaster for eight years. She can serve two terms by law and she will. There are two ways that assure you of being elected in NM except for the southeastern quarter of the state. That's being a liberal dimocrat (misspelling intentional) and having a hiapanic surname. With both you are a shoo-in.

Tim Keller, the mayor of Albuquerque, is a fair haired, very  liberal dimacrat with the intestinal fortitude of a gnat. He will do nothing against any protester as was proven last year. Albuquerque police used to have the policy for years of "just shoot'em". It finally got so bad the feds stepped in, again, and set in another reform policy. Albuquerque has always been a crime ridden mess. I didn't realise just how bad until all the local TV stations were bought up and now our local news is Albuquerque's local news. The last number I saw has it is rated the ninth most dangerous city in the US. Little piss-ant place of half a million or so population is right up there with the big boys in violent crime.

APD snipers were once considered to the best in the country. Yes the SE part of the state is still very red " for now". But don't forget the NW part, the Farmington and Aztec area. Why is it that the crime, and destruction always seems to follow the liberals?

  I am trying to picture NM..  Most blue states are so, because of the larger cities.  NY is like that, and I picture
 NY, Michigan, Oregon, Wisconsin and Minnesota as basically red maps with blue spots (cities) where the leftists outnumber the rest of the state.
  Now it seems as if NM is divided into quarters...is that correct?  I suppose the illegal influx plays a big part..

NM is northern and southern NM and the dividing line is I-40. There is also the Rio Grande Corridor which runs north and south. Albuquerque is the biggest town in the state by far and surrounds the intersection of I-40 and I-25. The liberals infest the place and the population up and down the river. Even Los Cruses way down the river is becoming over run with them. The southeastern quadrant is highly conservative along with a little of the northwestern quadrant. Of course there are some conservatives scattered through the state but the main population density is along the corridor and we are simply outvoted. NM, despite all her pretensions, is a very poor state. There is basically no industry in the state that amounts to anything except for oil and gas. If not for that and the federal government money that comes in we couldn’t exist. We are the fifth largest state in land area and have a population of around 2.2 million, which over half of receive some kind of government assistance. Dimacrats always have control of the senate and even in the rare times when the house is controlled by the republicans or we have a republican governor the senate simply does’t consider any bill they don’t want and nothing gets done. When they are in total control like now we are steamrolled.

Why do I continue to live here? The taxes I pay are less than in Texas, I have a vast area of public land to roam around on any time I want, about 85% of the people in the area share my beliefs, crime is very low, cost of living is good compared to most places and for those reasons I can put up with the crappy roads.

  From O&S;

   Those things mentioned are pretty much how it is in NY where I live..except for the low taxes.  I have state   lands and a considerable amount of private land that I have access to, cost of living isn't bad..at least 90%agree with me on most things...and yes, we have crappy roads..mostly due to winter damage, and failure to do prompt repairs.
