Ammunition

It sure looks like the libtard's are going after that now. Stocked up pretty well now. But not as good as I should be. Don't want to waist anything much anymore .

Well,  I have pretty much everything
loaded up that I have supplies for.

The thing I've never seen or didn't
expect was the shortage of muzzle
loading and black powder guns and
supplies.  All gone in this immediate
area with no resupply expected soon
according to the store personnel
Very strange

At least I've had some giggles
at the expense of the magazine
dump practitioners that I know.

If you are speaking of the present lack of available guns and ammo, i tend to place the reason for shops being sold out of those things, more to the crazy antics of the rad left!
Many people are likely jarred by seeing what the Antifa & BLM are doing to cities , without any interference by the forces we always took for granted, would protect the innocent population.
That being the case, the rad left like Obama, are very good salesmen of guns and ammo. one indicator, it appears the first guns and ammo to sell out, were the dreaded "assault" rifles and handguns, along with their appropriate ammo.

I stopped by my LGS about a month ago, looking to buy another centerfire rifle, specifically a Thompson Center bolt action or a Ruger American bolt action. in .223.  The shop owner, Mark at first thought I was looking for a Ruger mini 14 ranch, and he said, "no chance"..all semiauto .223 rifles were sold out and backordered.

The fact that those rifles and the usual 9mm and .40 cal handguns are most often considered to be choice guns for self defense, would explain why they went first.  I have talked to 3-4 LGS owners, and they view the sales that way also.

In my area, it's just like toilet
paper and all the other.
Panic buyers and nothing more
as far as conventional firearms
and ammunition.
What I don't understand is all
the ads here local-
" want to buy hunting ammo "
" want to buy bullets and/or powder
  to load hunting ammo "
" want to buy self defense ammo "

Anybody with any sense should already
have all that stuff covered at all times.
I don't know. Maybe I should do magazine
dumps like the other people

we have a ace hardware store thats the only gunshop ammo store in town. Talked to the owner the other day. He was limiting primers to 200 a customer because he said all the tourist from down south were flooding the store and wanted to buy everything he had. He said, and it made sense, that if he has primers to sell people will come to his gun counter and many times its even sells a gun. When hes out of primers nobody bothers. He did sell me a brick of small pistol and 2 bricks of large pistol. guess it makes me one of those awful horders because i allready have 5k of large and 8k of small and enough ammo for end times already loaded. Thing is that he even said that he gets his powder and primers every year at the shot show from a distributor there. He told me his distributor said he had none for this year that all of his stock went to the big places like midway and midsouth and he had none for the small shops and even told him he could be looking at years before all of his back orders are filled so call me a horder but ill buy all i can get him to sell me. Id rather have to much then none. Nice thing too is he isnt the type to jack his prices up. Sold me the primers for 32 bucks a brick. He said the same thing is going on with his 9mm 40 and 45acp ammo. Cant keep it on the shelf. He now limits 9 to one box and 40 and 45 to two and all he has left is ball. Even his reloading bullets are about gone and i know its tourists because theres not a lot of handloaders, at least in this country. I got his last box of xtp 180 40s. He had no 9mm and some ball 45s left. Lots of hunting ammo though in most calibers. Gunshop 60 miles from here cant even get that to put on the shelf.

As to the mag dumps my shooting hasnt changed a bit. Like i said ive got ammo cans full of loaded ammo. Getting to the age now that well its nice to have enough ammo to support an army platoon for six months im getting the train of thought that i went through all the work loading it and am not going to do it for someone else that grabs it when im dead. 556 is no big deal to do ammo dumps like i said i have lots of primers and bought 5k ball bullets just before they dried up. Same with 9s 40s and 45s. All i need is primers and powder to keep them going as i cast my own bullets. Ive got enough surplus #2 to last till i die and the only thing im lacking in to have UNLIMITED ammo is primers. So i will hoard thank you. I dont think i should stop buying so you can get some because you were to stupid to stock up yourself. I chuckle at some guys that own 20 guns and dont even reload, cast or have more then a box of ammo or two for each or are even flat out. You get no sympathy from me. Im just the opposite. When my loading supplys are getting low that is a way higher priority then buying a new gun. what i dont do though is buy stuff thinking im going to turn a profit on it taking advantage of the dumb people. I dont sell anything. I even was offered a new gun for 5k of 556 at the gun shop down the road. Told him i dont sell ammo because without it my guns are nothing but a heavy stick and wouldnt risk the liability of selling ammo to someone else. Even factory ammo and for sure not reloads.

So you guys struggling to find ammo dont get any sympathy from me. Theres been enough shortages in the near past that you should have know better and took care of this long ago. Guarantee you one thing. Even if it goes back to normal it will happen again and the same guys will be pissing and moaning and complaining about people buying up all the ammo. Cant buy ammo?? Then its a darned good time to spend your extra money you have for it on a cheap loading outfit and if and when it does break buy some components. Its sure not the horders fault that you dont have ammo its your own. If you are going through withdrawls take a ride and we will go out and mag dump about a coffee can full of ammo of your choice.

I'm always on the look out for private party's selling components that I use. Needless to say, I'm not buying much at today's prices.

I agree with Ironglow's accessment but let's not forget that the c-b bug has put a big crimp in manufacturing. Everything popular has cleaned out the supply chain. Until companies and their employees are allowed to resume work it's going to be slim pickins'. Locally I see a good supply of hunting type rifles, single action pistols, and ammo for them because of low demand. 380, 9mm, 40 cal., 223, and 22LR ammo is pretty much nonexistant as is something that shoots it.

When will the country be allowed to go back to work? It seems to be entirely at the whim of the governors. Ours has said it will probably be the end of next year before she allows the state to fully reopen. I hope other states have significantly smarter leadership than we do although it's plain to see that some don't.

A lot depends on the outcome of the upcoming elections too. If we wind up with Biden and company things will just get worse.

That is strange, there is a liberal congressman who says he also wants to ban percussion revolvers.

Ban percussion revolver?  Yeah,..Sure..and it appears that the democrats banned brains among their party faithful years ago !

Ha!  Dems are wholly insane.

Didja see that a 12 y.o. Colorado kid "flashed" a toy gun across his virtual classroom computer screen and was summarily suspended 5 days?  Talk about "triggered".

Hmmm..  I believe that more people are still killed in the US from highway accidents, rather than gunshots .
If not, they are very close, so would that same teacher have gotten so alarmed, had the child been playing with a toy car, truck, or motorcycle. ?

  Lame brains !

yup that should have been a step to far in even the liberals minds. A kid in his own house playing with an obviously toy gun and not threatening anyone gets a teacher to call protective services and they actually come to there house and the kid ends up suspended. Ill be dammed if anyone is going to tell me what my kids can do in MY house unless its going to harm them or someone else. Surprised black lives matters didnt protest that one. After all it was a black kid. Thats the insanity this country has come to.
